New look for link shares on Google+ introduced some new problems to G+ API.

New look for link shares on Google+ introduced some new problems to G+ API.

Activities received over G+ API do not contain any information about the link itself, no url, no title, nothing. Bug was reported (thanks Gerwin Sturm) but it may take Google+ team some time to fix it.

So for the time being we do not recommend to use new links if is it possible.

UPDATE: Google fixed it! Problem solved.

  1. Kee Hinckley well, this new feature is not yet available to all G+ accounts and I am not sure if is it possible to not to use it. I am still trying to collect more info about it.

  2. Did Google+ changed the way image thumbnail is been selected or showed? I couldn’t select an image thumbnail to post AND the image and links are not appearing after Friends+ Me post to twitter.
